Review: Covergirl Lash Blast Mascara

Finally after all the hype of this mascara going around, I decided it was time to see what the big fuss was all about so I wanted to share my opinion on this with you gals! Ever since I tried this mascara a few weeks ago I've been so hooked! This mascara has been said to be "The best selling mascara in America" I've tried a lot of mascara's both high end and drug store so when I first got this I was a bit hesitant but it lived up to the hype and now it's HG status for me!

I've used mascaras like Diorshow, Mac Zoomlash, various Rimmel mascaras and all kept getting smudgy on me! No joke after a few hours I'd have Raccoon eyes-gross I know! So I was always on the hunt for a new mascara I just can't put my finger on why I waited so long to try it lol.

The first time I used lash blast I was very impressed. This mascara has a huge wand which I don't mind at all since Diorshow is just about the same size. I actually like the bigger wand because you can get every lash from inner corner to outer without having to work to do hard. What I love most about this mascara is the volume it gives my thin sparse lashes. It also really separates my lashes like no other and it doesn't smudge. The only thing I don't like about it is sometimes I get a little black dots of mascara over my eyeshadow but it's nothing a q tip can't handle! So if you haven't gotten your hands on this mascara, I recommend it to all you beauties out there!
Here's a picture to show you:
Without mascara:

With 2 coats of CoverGirl Lash Blast:
(I was in a rush so pardon the messy application lol!)

And here's a random cuz I'm such a loser..haha!

What do you think about this mascara? Is it worth the hype, and how has it worked out for you?? Let me know in the comments!!

Till next time bellas!!

Pink's on the cover of Cosmo!!

I've been a hardcore P!nk fan since her first hit "There You Go" became a smash hit in 2000! Wow can't believe it's been 10 years already! On top of her being friggin HOTTTT, (girl crush HELLO!) I love her bad girl attitude and punk rock look. From the tattoos and piercings and pink fro hawk to her awesome songs full of meaning, she is truly an artist and a lyrical superstar. I had to snag this Cosmo magazine when I saw who was on the cover. Here's a few clips, Enjoy!

Do you love P!nk as much as I do? What are some of your favorite songs from her?? Let me know in the comments, and as always..stay Gorgeous!!

How to de-pot Mac Beauty powders!

Do you get bored with Mac's plain black packaging?? Well I do! So that means we depot!
You will need the following tools:
-Mac packaging that you want to use (I used Heatherette Beauty Powder)
-Mac Blot powder to switch out
-Sharp knife
-Tweezers

First start out by taking a tweezer or sharp knife and CAREFULLY slip it through the gap in the powder and slide it forward until the black insert pops out. Do the same for the powder you are depotting, carefully so you don't ruin it.

Should look like this once they are both out.

Now just take the powder you are using (I'm using blot powder) and securely pop it into the Heatherette Compact, it should click.
And voila!

You can peel off the stickers off the back of each packaging and re-stick them onto the appropriate powders and it's ready to go into your makeup bag!

That was so easy even a caveman can do it! haha!

Hope someone found this helpful!

P.S. When deciding which powder to use for example Mac MSF's make sure the dome is slightly used up or flat otherwise the compact won't close and you can ruin your MSF and we don't want that!!

Enjoy your day lovelies!!

Jen

Revlon Colorstay Foundation Review!

Hello dolls! I finally got the Revlon Colostay Foundation band wagon! lol For quite some time now, I've seen beauty bloggers rave and go on about this foundation. I myself, LOVE to try different foundations whether high end or drug store. I was in Sephora a while back and was looking for a tinted moisturizer or something lightweight for summertime and warm weather days where I don't want my foundation sliding off my face, the MA there suggested Benefits Dr. Feel Good. He tried and tried to sell it to me saying how gorgeous and flawless it made my skin look-I totally disagreed and didn't see it so I walked out with nothing.

While browsing Makeupalley product reviews, I noticed this foundation kept coming up ALOT! I saw so many positive reviews for this and it had been compared to Mac's Studio Fix Fluid (which I hated) so I was a little skeptical in trying it out but I figured $8.99 for a drugstore foundation is not bad since the positives outweighed the negatives (which there weren't many at all)
I was happy with my studio sculpt and make up forever mat velvet but they all just don't work like this does for me!
I feel like this foundation was really meant to be for me, now for starters this foundation can run from $9.99 to $13.99 depending where you go. I saw this at Target for $9.99 with a $1.00 off automatic coupon, and then attached it had another $3.00 off coupon! So overall, I paid about $5.99 plus tax for this baby!

Positives:
-Very affordable
-Apply's very easily
-Lasts all day on my face (even working out, I tried it!)
-Doesn't oxodize or fade on my skin
-Covers all my imperfections blemishes and pores evenly
-Transfer resistant best of all! Doesn't smudge onto my clothes or phone

Cons:
-Doesn't have a pump
-You have to play around with the colors to get a good match since you can't test them in store
-Dries very quickly

I find that applying this with a stippling brush is the best method. You do have to work fast because this foundation dries very fast, so doing 1 section of your face at a time works best. So overall this foundation gets a 4/5 for me and is so perfect for warm summer days! I've been using this well over a week and have not been reaching for anything else, Hello holy grail!

Here's a swatch of Natural Tan:

OVERALL RATING:
A-

Do you agree with me and love this foundation or do you not like it? Let me know in the comments!

Mac lippies, and Nars mini haul!

Hello loves! I wanted to share a small haul of things I was excited to try over the past few weeks. I also took swatches so you can see how they look on my skin tone. I've been itching to get my hands on Mac St. Germain and Creme Cup lippies, I'm really loving pinks and nudes and wanted to add to my small lippie collection lol. I haven't been to Sephora in a while so I got a chance to stop by there and got Nars Torrid blush, I seriously cannot get enough of this coraly pink blush!! It really gives my cheeks a pop of color without looking over done, I also wanted to try the Night eyeshadow series from Nars so I got Night Porter single which is a beautiful black with green shimmers in it, perfect for smokey eyes. I went out of my comfort zone a little bit and also got Mac's Florida blush (a hot pink cream blush, uber pretty!)
So now onto the fun stuff!

(Left Mac Creme Cup, Right Mac Saint Germain)

On my lips:

Sexy Cheetah Pumps & Sunglasses!

Two of my biggest weaknesses: Sexy pumps and HUGE sunglasses!
Last weekend I was out by the outlets here, and decided to stop in and check out some sales! I stopped in by Guess where they were having a 50% off sale!
I got these really cute Cheetah pumps, they were originally $70.00

Pardon me I'm camwhoring my new shoes haha!
LOVE!! hmm now where to go and what to wear them with??

I was in need of some sunglasses because mine always break from being in my purse lol (I know shame on me for even putting them in there) or I leave them in my friend's cars and never get them back or they break on me so needless to say since they were having a 50% off sale, I got these really cute sunglasses!

What do you think? Let me know in the comments:)
